2026 North Simcoe Municipal Election Results

Election Day was Monday, October 26, 2026. For some of you there will be excitement. For some there will be commiseration. That is normal. The people have spoken, and they exercised their right to vote.

Let's hope every municipality finds a way to make progress in challenging times. Let's hope the people who were elected work diligently for the people who elected them, and follow the platforms they ran on, without changing course and leaving voters feeling hoodwinked. Good elected officials stick to their mandates.

This is a non-partisan list of who won a council seat in Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay, Tiny and Wasaga Beach. It does not endorse anyone. Before the vote, I published a guide to the candidates: North Simcoe Votes 2026.

Acclaimed means no one else ran for that office. Returning means the person already held that office. New means they are new to that office. A count is official only once that municipality's clerk certifies it.

Thank you

Congratulations, and thank you, to everyone who ran and to everyone who voted. Putting your name on a ballot, and taking the time to mark one, is how a town chooses the people who will sit at that table for the next four years.
