North Simcoe Votes 2026 / Midland

Bill Gordon

Bill Gordon

Mayor

Priorities

  1. Controlling spending: separate wants from needs, no deficit budgets, and press the Province to fix Municipal Partnership Funding
  2. Housing: turn the 2,000-plus approved homes into homes built, and donate Town land on Bay Street to the County of Simcoe for roughly 100 affordable seniors' units
  3. Community safety: routine OPP foot patrols downtown and in-town radar enforcement, more Neighbourhood Watch programs, expanded bylaw patrols and public safety cameras downtown and in parks
  4. Midland Bay Landing: re-engage the community to review the master plan before any next step
  5. Shared services with Tiny, Tay and Penetanguishene, plus parkland preservation, infrastructure repair and climate resiliency
